Breathing hard, like they had quite enough.

Barry’s a good swimmer, strong and quick,

But his brother knows every water trick.

Puff stares at them under a sky of blue,

Announcing, “I am ready—how ‘bout you?”

The brothers sit up and have much to say

About the stream and rules along the way.

“Okay Puffy,

We will prepare you

For when we go,

And will teach you

What you need to know.

“First, you must lie

On your back

On the water top,

Breathing freely:

You must not stop.
